The Walking Dead is toning down its violence due to complaints!

The Walking Dead has seen a drop in ratings since the first half of Season 7 began and many believe this is down to the violence that has been displayed this season, some viewers have even called it “torture porn”.

Constant complaints by viewers on social media and beyond has caught the eyes of the shows producers and they have taken it into consideration for the second half of season 7.

Executive producer Gale Ann Hurd stated during a panel at the NATPE conference. “We were able to look at the feedback on the level of violence. We did tone it down for episodes we were still filming for later on in the season,” she stated.

Yes episode one of the season was brutal when we lost Glenn and Abraham but The Walking Dead IS A SHOW ABOUT A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!! What else do viewers expect?
