When did you become a fan of horror?
I’ve been a fan since I was a kid. My mother always liked watching horror flicks and I got to see lots of the old stuff that kids at my age probably shouldnt see. Honestly they always scared the hell out of me. Once I turned 16 and got my first job and with my first paycheck I went out and bought a bunch of vhs. When I first got into horror dvd wasnt out yet. Im 35 now, so almost 20 years of being a horror fan.
I started my horror adventure being a fan of Zombie movies.”Night of the Living dead” being the one that started it all for me. It wasnt until I saw movies like Peter Jacksons “Bad Taste” or “The Gate” that I really started getting into just horror in general.
Are you self taught or did you attend college?
I’ve taken a few courses and learned a little bit in my short stint in college. I would say I’m self taught, but I’ve had alot of influence from artist’s around the world and find myself trying to mimic their style.
What medium do you use to create your work?
I do lots of different mediums and in most cases my designs are a little bit of all the different mediums. I pen and ink, pencil, watercolor, tattoo and photoshop. Generally my designs start on paper. The medium I use most often is digital. I use several art and design softwares to complete an image.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
My inspiration comes from seeing all the cool cover art for horror flicks. I also want to make my mark on the horror genre in some shape or form. I love horror movies and that love is where most my inspiration comes from. Recently after getting some attention from the horror community I’ve been getting lots of positive feedback and that has definitely helped my motivation and I thank everyone who has let me know!
What’s your favourite designs to work on?
Anything horror and more specifically any horror movie that I personally enjoy. I like working with all the underground companies and such. But to further answer that question I would love to get into doing poster or cover art for horror films. So if any indie film makers want some cool artwork hit me up immedietly!
Whats your favourite piece of work so far?
I have one piece I recently did that im very fond of. Unfortunatly I cant share the image yet but its a piece I did for a series of images. This one in paticular is from the Lucio Fulci film “Zombie flesh eaters!”. My favorite I’ve done to date that has been unveiled is is my We Are Still Here piece!
What are your upcoming projects?
